Peer review policy

The American Journal of Respiratory Medicine uses an anonymized double peer review policy.

Manuscripts are submitted through the journal's Open Journal System (OJS) platform and are selected through peer review to ensure originality, timeliness, relevance, and readability.

Each manuscript received is reviewed by the Editorial Committee and two or more external reviewers. After this review, the corresponding author is notified of the manuscript's acceptance (with or without corrections and changes) or rejection. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to make, with the authors' knowledge, any editorial changes required by grammatical standards and layout requirements.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their submission complies with all the elements required in the publication guidelines (see Submission Checklist).

Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors.
