Abstract

Postinfectious bronchiolitis obliterans (PIBO) is a lung disease characterized by chronic airflow obstruction associated with inflammatory changes, leading to fibrosis and small airway obliteration. This results in chronic airflow obstruction and reduced tolerance to activities of daily living and exercise. The objective of this study was to describe the aerobic treadmill training plan in an 11-year-old patient with PIBO, which resulted in an increase in the distance covered in the 6-Minute Treadmill Test and Maximal Work Capacity. This is the first case report of pulmonary function rehabilitation in a pediatric patient with PIBO to our knowledge.
