Correspondencia :
After a period of seven and a
half years of inÂtense and rewarding work, my duties as Editor-in- Chief of the
RAMR have come to an end.
It has been an honor and a
privilege to be the head of this publication, and I am deeply grateful for the
support of the AAMR Board of Directors, the valuable contribution of our
collaborators, and, of course, the continued support of our loyal community of
readers.
During this time, we have
achieved significant milestones that fill me with pride:
• Each issue is published in both
Spanish and English, significantly expanding our reach to an international
audience.
• We successfully implemented the
Open Journal Systems (OJS) software for submission manageÂment and the
peer-review process, thus modÂernizing the editorial workflow and providing
greater transparency and efficiency.
• We added a copy editor to the
team, which has contributed to improving the linguistic quality and
presentation of our articles.
• We obtained a Digital Object
Identifier (DOI) for the journal, and each published article has its own DOI,
making identification and citation in the digital environment easier.
• The journal acquired a Creative
Commons liÂcense, which strengthens the proper use of our content.
• We started to include the
authors’ ORCID idenÂtifiers in the articles, which helps ensure unique
identification and enhances the visibility of their scientific output.
• We incorporated the DOI into
the bibliographic references of the articles, enriching the informaÂtion and
facilitating access to the cited sources.
• We maintained the inclusion of
the RAMR in important databases such as Lilacs, Latindex,
and Scielo.
There is still a long way to go;
indexing in other platforms such as SCOPUS, Redalyc,
DOAJ, Dialnet, and the long-desired PubMed remains
pending.
However, we believe this must be
done responsiÂbly. One of the obstacles to submission was the fact that there
have been delays in the timely release of the issues.
The roles of Editor-in-Chief and
Editorial SecÂretary are extremely demanding and complex, and are made even
more challenging by the difficulty in finding reviewers who respond on time. We
deeply value and thank those who have done so and have supported us throughout
these years.
Dr. Sandra Inwentars
will continue in charge of the RAMR; and I wish her the greatest success.
I am confident that, under a new
leadership, the journal will continue on its path of growth and consolidation,
reaching new goals and strengthenÂing its position as a benchmark in its field.
I wish you all the best for the
future and once again express my deep gratitude for these years we have shared.
Sincerely
